In 2013, ‘selfie’ was the word of the year. This year, #maskie has been trending on social media. But the biggest challenge while clicking a masked selfie is to make your photos stand out with half your face covered. With the eyes becoming the new lips, sales of eye makeup products are going through the roof globally. Fashion photographer Atul Kasbekar says, “Since masks will limit the scope of shoots, the emphasis will now be on the eyes.” Vikram Bawa believes body language will have a big role to play in shoots.“One has to get creative with how they pose; stand, jump or lean – outdoor selfies will be redefined. Choose props and backdrop carefully,” suggests the fashion photographer.
