Halle Berry is not just famous for performing heavy-duty stunts and thrilling action sequences, what she also is doing is aging in reverse. At 53, she looks like she is in her 20s!
The secret? Her love for working out!
The actress recently stunned her fans with a photo of her sporting six-pack abs on Instagram. Needless to say, people were impressed.
Sharing her big achievement on Instagram, the actress added that getting a ripped body was not an easy feat. In the post, she added:
“There’s no better feeling than setting a goal and smashing it. One of my goals for #BruisedTheMovie Ripped Abs-and today I finally got them, and it feels unbelievable!”
In another Instagram story, her trainer, Mubarak Malik also shared the efforts that went into sporting a mean and lean physique.n the brief workout video, they do three rounds of kettlebell workouts, including kettlebell squat presses, swings and lifts and lunges.
Praising her further, her trainer added that Halle does a bit of everything. He said that she trains four hours every day, follows a strict keto diet and even ascribes to the latest trend of intermittent fasting. He went on to call her a "top-level athlete."
Halle also hosts regular #fitnessfriday video series on social media, where she dishes out important workout tips for her fans, According to her, the one way of constantly keeping in shape is to keep your body guessing. In an interaction, she said:
"When I first started training with Peter, one of the things he said to me was 'I'm going to give you different exercises every week,'" she said on an Instagram story. "And I can honestly say, I hardly ever repeat exercises with him...we're always changing it up so that I don't hit a fitness plateau."
While Halle Berry suffers from diabetes, she hasn't let her condition affect her life. As she mentions, following the Keto diet strictly has helped her manage her condition better:
“Being diabetic most of my life, I have always had to take food very seriously. So for years, I have been following the keto or ketogenic diet. Low-carb has forced my body to burn fat, and largely responsible for slowing down the aging process and increasing my endurance."
What you can learn from herFor her part, Halle keeps pushing her limits and introduces herself to a lot of new regimes-boxing, martial arts, weightlifting and what not. Since she also does a lot of action flicks, it gives her a better chance to explore her body's strength and go outside the comfort zone. What is more interesting is that Berry doesn't totally depend on fancy gym equipment and instead, focuses on making use of normal household equipment.
