After a warm welcome at the Mumbai airport on Saturday morning, rapper
Jaden Smith arrived in Pune later in the day. The actor turned singer was welcomed by fans at the city hotel that he was put up at and he even obliged to click individual selfies with them. In the city to headline a music festival, Jaden received a warm welcome as he got on stage for his debut India performance.

Will Smith, performed a few songs from his album Syre and had the audience humming along. They were happy to oblige when he asked them to light up their mobile phones and point them towards the sky as they sang along. During his performance, he also waved the Indian flag much to the delight of his fans.
Speaking about the performances, Girijith Sugathan, a youngster at the festival said, “I loved the performance by Jaden Smith. Such international artists coming to India to perform helps to change the music scene in India, especially Pune’s diverse musical scene. I am glad Jaden chose Pune for his debut performance in India.” Adding to that, Priyanka Mhankale, an IT professional at the event said, “Jaden Smith went backstage and didn’t come out for a good five minutes. We thought the performance was over. But when he came gushing with the Indian flag, the crowd screamed out of happiness. He also addressed the crowd as Indians and not just Punekars, which shows how he loved coming to India. I am happy I could witness that live.”
