During Assassin's Creed Shadows’ "Searching Sakai" quest, you must locate Imai Sokyu. It is one of the primary story missions in which you must try to identify the Golden Teppo.
With a direct connection to Oda Nobunaga, Imai Sokyu could be the assistance you require to carry out your plans. That being said, it is more difficult to locate him in Sakai.

Find the gunsmiths

Naoe needs to request a teppo with gold ornaments from the Sakai gunsmiths. She has to locate the gunsmiths first, though. Three hints are provided for you to locate them:

Sakai is in western Settsu
The gunsmiths are in central Sakai
They are in the Firearm District

The Firearm District is located in the eastern part of Sakai, indicated by the blue section on the map. In the Firearm District, the gunsmiths are situated along a street.

Talk to the gunsmith

When you get to Sakai, you spend some time looking for information about a woman with a golden teppo by speaking with a few gunsmiths. You can listen in on a conversation between two men in the eastern section of town.
Naoe confronts the gunsmiths and requests that they turn over the contracts after eavesdropping them. Asajiro and Yakichi will inquire about Naoe's relationship to Imai Sokyu. And here are the dialogue options and their outcomes:

Dialogue Options	Outcomes
I know Imai Sokyu's son.	Yakichi will insist that Asajiro simply award the contracts to Naoe, but this won't change the result.
That's none of your business.
I know Imai Sokyu's daughter	You'll hear Asajiro say that Imai Sokyu has no daughter. This won't change the result either.

None of the dialogue options will stop you from getting the contracts when you speak with them. In the worst situation, they will discover that you are not associated with the Imai and will either flee or attack you. To get the papers, you need to kill them.
It would be wise to send scouts to Sakai to get a sense of Imai Sokyu's location, but they will only tell you that he is in the Money Changer District. So, it is unclear exactly where Imai Sokyu is.

Find the correct location of Imai Sokyu

You must locate Imai Sokyu's home if you wish to locate him. First, head south on the street with the ramp at the intersection in the center of Sakai.
Turn northeast and look for the houses with white clothing in front of them before you come to a bridge. You're trying to find the second one from the bridge, but there are many on this street:
The quest can then be finished by simply opening the door. However, Imai Sokun, his son, will be speaking to you instead of Imai Sokyu this time.
