Vince McMahon is one of the most influential and prominent figures in the wrestling world. Even though his creative direction and vision resulted in the rapid expansion of WWE, he has not been the favorite amongst many, especially in the women’s division. While McMahon’s contributions to the expansion of WWE are undeniably praiseworthy, many female wrestlers have voiced their frustrations about him for not being the ideal leader they expect him to be.
Here’s a list of 5 popular WWE female superstars who had a tough time dealing with Vince McMahon.

5 WWE Female Superstars Who Despised Working With Vince McMahon

1. Sable

After returning to WWE in 2003, Sable had to deal with various challenges involving the former CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon. Sable opened up about her experience that made her leave the company again, for good. The female superstar expressed how she was asked to be a part of inappropriate storylines that made her uncomfortable. Shockingly, Sable also revealed once that McMahon asked her to be sexually involved with him. After just one year of making a return, Sable left the company in 2004, and the probable reason for this brief comeback could have been McMahon’s unprofessional approach towards the female wrestler. She has even gone as far as suing the former CEO for sexual harassment.

2. Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella once revealed that when she and her sister Brie, won the Diva of the Year award, she experienced the most surprising reaction from the former CEO. When the Bella Twins returned backstage, they were yelled at by Vince McMahon, who seemed to have not been the happiest with their achievement. This unpredictable reaction from McMahon devastated Nikki. We believe the female superstar’s absence over the years and a comeback after McMahon has stepped down from the position, speaks for itself.

3. Gail Kim

Despite being one of the top-tier talents in WWE, Kim is one of the female wrestlers who might’ve not been McMahon’s favorite. The female icon voiced her frustration by calling out WWE for being racist. Even though Kim later apologized for her remarks about the company, she believed she was treated differently than other American females in the women’s division. Kim also expressed her views on feeling “too Asian” for the industry. She also eliminated herself in Battle Royal as a form of protest against the unfair treatment from the company for not truly accepting the diverse nature of the athletes.

4. Sasha Banks (Mercedes Mone)

Being one of the top female wrestlers in pro wrestling, Banks had a hard time adjusting to the company’s hold over creative freedom. In 2022, Banks and Naomi shocked the whole industry by stepping out of the company due to creative disagreements. The wrestler stated how the women’s division was not treated on the same level as the male wrestlers. She emphasized McMahon’s inappropriate approach to her during her tenure. Later, the female superstar changed her path to pursue success in AEW as Mercedes Mone.

5. Chyna

The WWE Hall of Famer, Chyna, was a groundbreaking star during her tenure with the company. Her relationship with WWE became ugly the moment her real-life breakup with Triple H. One of the major reasons behind Chyna and The Game’s split up was his closeness towards Stephanie McMahon. Although Stephanie and Triple H played the parts in a storyline, their real-life love story started shortly afterward. Chyna blamed Vince McMahon for placing his daughter in a position to break her bond with The Game.

Even though many superstars praise Vince McMahon for shaping WWE’s legacy, his handling of the women’s division has been called out by many female superstars over time. Presently with Triple H as the Chief Content Officer of WWE, the women’s division has been evolving at an astonishing pace.
