The Beatles are widely regarded as one of the most influential bands of all time. They reigned in the global music industry during the 1960s and have garnered massive popularity among all generations. The Beatles' music continues to be adored worldwide. However, WWE superstar CM Punk is not among their admirers, which the WWE star has recently revealed.
During a recent Instagram video with WWE host Jackie Redmond, CM Punk revealed that he does not like The Beatles when Redmond asked several WWE Superstars to name something that is universally loved but that they dislike.
CM Punk did not hesitate to speak about his dislike of The Beatles. Let’s take a look at what the WWE champion said about the famous band and what possible reason is behind his dislike.

CM Punk on The Beatles: “Overrated and Phony”

CM Punk did not hold himself back from critiquing The Beatles. During the conversation with Jackie Redmond, CM Punk called the band “Overrated and Phony,” agreeing with WWE’s Alicia Taylor. His remark sparked a surprised reaction from Redmond, and this led to an interesting conversation with WWE’s Alicia Taylor. “I don’t like The Beatles. I was shocked that I found someone else who doesn’t like The Beatles,” Taylor added.
“There are two of you at the same table!” Redmond replied, before telling Punk to explain himself. CM Punk further said: “Phony boy band that was manufactured and went through sh*tty phases. ‘Oh, we’re hippies now. We’re psychedelic now.”

Taylor next intervened, saying, “I just feel like everyone says, ‘Oh, I love The Beatles’ because they feel like they have to say they love The Beatles.” She also noted that she shares a similar lifestyle to CM Punk does, adding, “I do not drink or smoke or do drugs. So, I’m on the same train.”
Punk then delivered one last jab at the iconic band, stating, “So f*** you, Sergeant Pepper!” while flashing the infamous Stone Cold Salute to the camera with Taylor, who was sitting beside him.
Sergeant Pepper was a seminal work by the Beatles released in 1967, known for its innovative sound, psychedelic theme, and often regarded as one of the greatest music albums of all time.
