Death Stranding 2 PS5 to release on June 26: All details

Sony and Kojima Productions have officially announced that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will launch for PlayStation 5 on June 26, 2025. The announcement was made during a special panel hosted by Hideo Kojima at the SXSW conference, accompanied by a stunning new trailer.
Fans who pre-order the Collector's Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition will get advanced access to the game, being able to play from June 24. The Collector's Edition includes a 15-inch Magellan Man statue, a 3-inch Dollman figurine, art cards, and various in-game items. The Digital Deluxe Edition also offers early access and additional in-game items.
The new trailer, which is 10 minutes long, showcases a mix of gameplay and in-game cinematics, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect. The trailer features various characters, including one that bears a striking resemblance to Snake from the Metal Gear franchise3. The game continues the story of the original Death Stranding, with Sam and his companions embarking on a new journey to save humanity from extinction.
The standard edition of Death Stranding 2 will be priced at $69.99, while the Collector's Edition will cost $229.99, and the Digital Deluxe Edition will be available for $79.99. Pre-orders for all editions will begin on March 17.
