Elon Musk's ex-girlfriend Grimes on Musk taking their son to White House: ‘I did not see this, thank u for …’

Elon Musk recently attended a White House press conference with his 4-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii. As Musk discussed his work with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), his son became the center of attention, stealing the spotlight at the conference. The lighthearted moment in Donald Trump’s Oval Office quickly went viral on social media. However, Musk’s former partner and X Æ A-Xii’s mother was reportedly less than pleased.
Grimes, a well-known musician and record producer, shared her thoughts on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter). “He should not be in public like this,” she wrote, adding, “I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”


Elon Musk and Grimes (born Claire Boucher) were never officially married but were in a high-profile relationship. They began dating in 2018 and were together for several years before splitting in 2022. During their time together, they welcomed three children: X Æ A-Xii (aka Lil X) and Tau Techno Mechanicus (2), and daughter Exa Dark Sideræl (3).
Although neither has publicly shared detailed reasons for their separation, they continue to co-parent their three children and appear to have a cordial relationship. Grimes has even referred to Musk as her "best friend" despite their split.
Last month, Grimes praised Musk’s gaming skills. In an X post, Grimes said that “Just for my personal pride, I would like to state that the father of my children was the first american druid in diablo to clear abattoir of zir and ended that season as best in the USA”. She further added “He was also ranking in Polytopia, and beat Felix himself at the game. I did observe these things with my own eyes. There are other witnesses who can verify this. That is all.”
