drishika chander will soon make her feature film debut in Telugu with Buchi Naidu Kantriga and has been nominated as Best Actress at film festivals for Manasanamaha.

The short-film directed by Deepak Reddy will release in Tamil on Friday as Manase Namaha.

Telugu filmmaker Deepak Reddy may have made the nation proud with over 500 awards at several international festivals and a record in the Guinness Book of World Records for the highest number of records ever won by a film - 'Manasanamaha', but it looks like that isn't helping in attaining a visa to go and receive some of the awards himself.

Earlier, short films paved the way for feature films. Those who wanted to settle down as actors and directors in feature films tried to prove their talent through the short films. But now, the craze for short films has subsided. Web series are becoming a trend now. But a Telugu short film released two years ago is still reaping the awards.

While the event stands postponed, the festival had seen some of the best films from across the world being screened.

South diva Anupama Parameswaran unveiled the first look poster of the upcoming film 'The Story of a Beautiful Girl'. Directed by Ravi Prakash Bodapati, the film features Nihal Kodhaty and drishika chander in the lead. Touted to be a light-hearted love story, 'The Story of a Beautiful Girl' is being bankrolled by Gen'nexT Movies which had produced Charmme Kaur starrer 'Mantra' a decade ago. The Gen'nexT banner has another film 'Butterfly' starring Anupama. It is going to hit the OTT platform soon.
