Arnab Banerjee bags Leena Gangopadhyay’s new show

Actor Arnab Banerjee, last seen in popular television show ‘Aalta Phoring’, has a new project in his kitty. He will be seen in Leena Gangopadhyay’s upcoming television serial ‘Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasa’. The show will feature versatile actress Aparajita Adhya playing a central character while Anusha Viswanathan will play her daughter.
Viewers will see Arnab playing a doting son’s character in the upcoming television show.He will be seen playing Kojagori Basu’s (played by Aparajita Adhya) son. Prior to this Arnab had played a prominent role in Leena Gangopadhyay and Saibal Banerjee produced ‘Sreemoyee’, one of the most popular daily soaps on Bengali television, in the recent times that has been remade in other languages including in Hindi (as Anupamaa). Arnab played a young fellow with a promising future who sacrificed everything to avenge his brother’s death. In ‘Aalta Phoring’, the previous television serial starring Arnab and Kheyali Mondal, viewers saw him essaying the role of a bank employee, who is honest, courageous and isn’t afraid to raise his voice against odds. But Arnab’s sudden disappearance from the show and later, joining again, left fans a bit shocked. The character he played in ‘Aalta Phoring’ eventually showcased grey shades too, while Abhishek Bose, who joined the cast much later, got more prominence.
Finally, after having a successful stint on Bengali television, ‘Aalta Phoring’ concluded its journey in March this year. After that, Arnab wasn’t seen in any television serials and fans were eager to see him on screen again.
Well, he is back, that too with a new show and in a new avatar.
