Actor Akash Makhija, who is best known for featuring in TV shows like Sargam Ki Sadhe Satii, Har Mard Ka Dard, talks about making a shift from small screen (Television) to digital platform (OTT) and bollywood movies.
He said, "I guess I never had a problem with TV since both the shows I did were sitcoms — Har Mard Ka Dard (2017) and Sargam Ki Sade Satti (2022). Comedy has always been my forte, and I loved it.But then OTT kind of gave me a new world to explore as an actor. Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi gave me hope and the courage to dream bigger as an artist. I got nominated for an award that year, and after that, I kept getting work in OTT and films."
He continued to express gratitude towards his experience of being part of Television Industry in the past. He continued, "I’m not against TV — I learned a lot from it and also earned good money — but as an artist, I feel I belong in OTT and films. It’s much more raw and gives you an identity that resonates across the world.”
The actor will next be seen in upcoming series Gram Chikitsalay, which also stars Amol Parashar, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Garima Vikrant Singh, Vinay Pathak, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor in the lead roles.
He added, "I'm quite excited about my upcoming series, Gram Chikitsalay that is touted to be a delightful blend of humor and emotions. The story follows the journey of a doctor from the city as he adjusts to life at a small-town public health center. The series serves up a witty cocktail of playful journey of self-discovery, unexpected friendships, and the awkward hilarity that comes with figuring out how to fit into a place that plays by its own rules.I can't reveal about my role, but its very much promising."

Akash has featured in Bollywood films like Half Girlfriend, Bhool Chuk Maaf, Nakhrewaalii.
