Actress Avneet Kaur, known for her confidence and fiery spirit, recently opened up about a shocking Holi incident from her childhood. In a candid conversation with Hauterrfly, she revealed how she once beat up a guy with a bat for misbehaving with her.
"I would beat up guys with a bat if they teased me. Once, during Holi, I specifically told a guy not to throw colour on me. But he still threw water balloons on my b*m. I lost it. He messed with the wrong person. Main bat leke usko dho diya (I thrashed him with a bat). His mother even came to complain to my mom, but my mom stood up for me and said, ‘Usne maar khaane wali kaam ki.’"

This strong-headedness and fearless attitude has been part of Avneet’s journey since childhood, making her one of the most resilient young actresses in the industry today.

Overcoming Challenges in Her Career

Avneet, who started her career at a young age, faced immense judgment and criticism for working in the entertainment industry. "When I had just started, people would comment, ‘Look, they are making their daughter work,’ ‘She should be married off,’ ‘She should stay at home.’ Even now, when we went to Punjab, someone said, ‘Look at the kind of clothes their daughter wears.’"

Despite societal pressures, Avneet’s parents always supported her dreams and gave her the freedom to choose her career and lifestyle.

Early Struggles and Industry Realities

Recalling a disturbing incident during her childhood, Avneet shared how she experienced harassment during dance rehearsals. "Someone from the spot team tried to touch me inappropriately. I felt uncomfortable and told my mom. She made me understand the difference between a good touch and a bad touch. I was just 8 or 9 years old."
She also spoke about a traumatic experience on set, where a director humiliated her in front of everyone. "It was my first day, and I had a long monologue. I was nervous and fumbled. Suddenly, he switched on the mic and yelled, ‘This girl is useless! She can’t do anything!’ He even used slangs. I was heartbroken, but later, I learned he did this to many female artists, even the popular ones."

A Role Model for Strength and Independence

Despite facing societal scrutiny, harassment, and workplace humiliation, Avneet has emerged stronger, turning every struggle into a lesson. Her unapologetic confidence and fearless personality continue to inspire young girls, proving that standing up for oneself is the key to success.
