CID co-star Dayanand Shetty refutes rumours of Dinesh Phadnis suffering from a heart attack; says, “he’s on a ventilator and doctors have kept him under observation"

CID actor Dinesh Phadnis is making headlines because of reports of him being hospitalised. The actor, who played the role of Fredericks in the popular TV show is on the ventilator. There were also many rumours of him suffering from a heart attack. However, Dinesh Phadnis' co-star Dayanand Shetty in conversation with Indianexpress.com refuted all the reports of heart attack. He has also confirmed that Dinesh is undergoing treatment and is on the ventilator.
Dayanand Shetty who played the role of Inspector Daya in CID, revealed that Dinesh hasn’t suffered from any heart attack and is actually undergoing a treatment.
He mentioned, "Dinesh Phadnis is hospitalised and on a ventilator, doctors are observing him. He has not suffered a heart attack, it is a different treatment and I wouldn’t like to comment on it." As per a few reports, the actor is seeking treatment in Tunga hospital in Mumbai. Dinesh’s condition is now said to be slightly better than before. Another report suggest that his CID co-stars paid him a visit to the hospital as they got to know about the same.
Netizens are quite concerned for the actor ever since news of him being on the ventilator came up. They took to their social media handles and requested the actor to get well soon.
Dinesh Phadnis became a household name with his appearance in popular show CID. His character Fredericks was loved and appreciated by the audience. The show lasted for over 20 long years and at one point was one of the highest TRP ranking shows.


Apart from CID, Dinesh Phadnis also appeared in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actor appeared in Aamir Khan's movie Sarfarosh. He was also a part of Marathi film called Bharla Ha Malavat Raktan.
