Actor Anuj Kohli who is currently seen essaying a negative role of Saransh in a TV show titled “Dahej Daasi” has backed YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia or 'BeerBiceps'. The controversy stems from remarks made by Mr Allahbadia on comedian Samay Raina's now-deleted YouTube show, 'India's Got Latent'. His comments, perceived as crude and offensive, triggered widespread outrage and multiple complaints.
He said, "India has far bigger issues to tackle than focusing on a distasteful joke. Ranveer Allahbadia, as a content creator, has consistently used his platform to inspire and empower millions of young people through meaningful conversations, entrepreneurship advice, and self-development. He has built a community centred around growth and positivity, and while it’s true that we all make mistakes, it’s important to remember that no one is perfect."
He continued, "Instead of jumping to conclusions or cancelling someone over a single moment, we should look at the broader impact a person has had. We live in a country with complex challenges from improving education and healthcare to tackling unemployment and poverty and these are the issues that need our attention and collective action."
He concluded adding, "Let’s not lose sight of what truly matters. Instead of sensationalizing every misstep, let’s encourage growth, learning, and constructive criticism. If we focus on tearing people down for every minor mistake, we risk creating an environment where everyone is too afraid to speak their minds or be authentic. It’s essential we foster a culture of understanding, tolerance, and empathy, and understand that a moment of poor judgment doesn’t define an entire character. Let’s keep the bigger picture in mind and continue to channel our energy into solving the real challenges facing our society."
Allahbadia, widely popular for his YouTube channel "BeerBiceps," landed trouble after a clip of him from Samay Raina's show went viral. The massive uproar over content creator Ranveer Allahbadia's "s*x and parents" remark at comedian Samay Raina's "India's Got Latent" show only intensified on Tuesday, with people across the spectrum stepping in to condemn Allahbadia's crass comment.
