Exclusive- Indian Idol season 15 winner Manasi Ghosh opens up about the winning moment, wish to sing for Bollywood stars and more; says, “I want to sing for Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone”

Indian Idol Season 15 grand finale took place on April 6, 2025, where Kolkata's Manasi Ghosh was declared the winner. The 24-year-old singer impressed both the judges and the viewers with her incredible performances throughout the season. Manasi was awarded the prestigious trophy, a ₹25 lakh cash prize, and a brand-new vehicle.
The finale featured a fierce battle among the leading competitors: Subhajit Chakraborty, Sneha Shankar, Chaitanya Devadhe (Mauli), Priyangshu Dutta, and Anirudh Suswaram. Subhajit finished as the first runner-up and Sneha the second runner-up.
She opened up about her journey and the winning moment on the show and said, “I’m feeling very well. I’m still in disbelieve that I’ve lifted the trophy. Everyone has won but I’ve lifted the trophy, that’s the only difference. I can’t express my happiness and excitement but I’m really overwhelmed. My journey was really fun and I’m very happy about it.”

Talking about the judges, she said, “Vishal sir is very direct and straight to the face. Badshah sir, on the other hand is the heart of the show. Shreya ma’am is really very sweet. The three judges are a really good combination.”
While revealing which Bollywood celeb she wishes to sing for, Manasi mentioned, “I wish to sing for Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra. I want to do bold voices for them.”
