Gantavya Sharma: This Raksha Bandhan, I finally have a sister to tie me a rakhi

Gantavya Sharma, last seen in Maati Se Bandhi Dor, is over the moon these days. The child artiste has recently been blessed with a baby sisterand is making sure to spend as much time with her as possible. When contacted, he shared, “Whenever I heard my parents talk about their siblings, or saw my friends with theirs, I used to feel a void.Now, that emptiness has been filled. Right now, I’m so happy that I can’t even put it into words. Every year onRaksha Bandhan, my mom used to tie a rakhi on my wrist, but this year, I have a sister to do that. I’m so excited for Raksha Bandhan to come. I’ve already told my dad that I need more pocket money so I can start saving to buy my first gift for her.”
His father, Naveen, revealed that Gantavya was in tears when he heard about his baby sister. He shared, “When the doctor came out of the operation theatre and told us we were blessed with a girl, Gantavya just smiled. I sensed he was holding back something, so I took him aside. When I asked if he was happy, he became so emotional that he started crying tears of joy. I was moved too and couldn’t hold back my own tears.”

Gantavya added, “My sister was born on April 15. I had always wanted a sister, and I kept praying to Hanuman ji to bless me with one. I’m so grateful that my wish was fulfilled. She’s so delicate and overflowing with cuteness. I was hesitant to touch her at first because I’d heard that newborns are prone to infections. But my mom reassured me that since I had sanitised my hands, it was safe.”
He added with a smile, “Ever since my mom and sister came home, I’ve been spending a lot of time with them. Like a protective elder brother, I make sure to take extra care of her. I don’t let just anyone touch her, and kissing is strictly prohibited (laughs) — only I’m allowed to kiss her.”
