Krishna Bharadwaj who's known for shows like Tenali Rama and Dhruv Tara has been also actively working in regional TV and films. The actor has been part of the Gujarati film Chal Maan Jeetva Jaiye and the TV show Shyam Dhun Laagi Re.
The actor says that he doesn't even know the language yet he manages to work in regional TV. He says, "People think I am Gujarati but I am not. I struggled to perform in Gujarati, believe me. Every time I have to remember lines, it's like taking an exam. I am very grateful to the universe that I have never been sitting at home. I am getting some kind of work in life, which I am happy about and I am doing that. I just finished another Gujarati film. I am also shooting for Shyam Dhun Laagi Re along with Tenali Rama 2.0."
Sharing how he manages to shoot for both, Krishna says, "I play Lord Krishna on the show and it has been doing well. It is a tough role as the outfit of the character is quite heavy and I give like a day or two in a week to finish my scenes for the show. The rest of the time I shoot for Tenali Rama 2.0."
Krishna shares the reason why he ended up working for regional cinema. He shares, "I co-wrote a film in 2017 and the director of the film said that this will do better in Gujarati and if I would like to play a part in the film as I know the story and character better. So we translated the script and I agreed to do the film. The film Chal Maan Jeetva Jaiye did well. That's how I got into regional cinema. I have also done Telugu films like Moodu Puvvulu Aaru Kayalu and Youthful Love."
