Digital creators Tanmay Bhat and Samay Raina brought humor and poignant moments to Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, sharing personal stories and winning Rs 12.5 lakh for charity. Tanmay reminisced about his early content creation days, while Samay's mother expressed her gratitude towards Amitabh Bachchan.
Tanmay shared a memorable incident about how he had been a part of the show long ago. He recalled, “I wanted to come on the show, and then I got to be a part of it. I was in the audience long back and even took part in the audience poll. 99% of the audience voted correctly, and that 1% who answered wrong was me.�His humorous confession left Amitabh Bachchan and the audience in splits.
Samay Raina also revealed his past connection with the show. A clip was played where his name had appeared as an option in a question during a previous episode, making the moment even more special for him.
Big B then asked Tanmay how he ventured into content creation. Tanmay opened up about his childhood struggles, saying, “I used to be overweight in school, and I had no friends back then. So I started listening to Johnny Lever’s cassettes and learned to make jokes. Then I started saying those jokes and slowly made friends. That’s when I realized I could make this into a career and also make friends along the journey.�His heartfelt revelation highlighted the power of humor in overcoming loneliness and building connections.
In the Super Sandook round, they won Rs 50,000 and successfully revived their audience poll lifeline. During the game, Samay’s mother got emotional, expressing her gratitude for being able to see Amitabh Bachchan live because of her son. Overwhelmed with emotions, she teared up, prompting Samay to lighten the moment with a joke.
One of the funniest moments of the episode came when Samay jokingly called out the channel for repeatedly airing Amitabh Bachchan’s film Sooryavansham. He quipped, “Sir, maine jo aapki pehli picture dekhi woh thi Sooryavansham, jo maine aapki doosri picture dekhi woh bhi Sooryavansham, jo maine teesri picture dekhi woh bhi Sooryavansham! Toh sir, jab kal aapko pata chal gaya tha ki kheer mein zehar hai, toh aaj aapne phir se kheer kyun khaayi?�His humorous dig left everyone, including Big B, in laughter.
Amitabh Bachchan joined in on the fun by reciting his iconic dialogue, “Rishte mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hain, naam hai Shahenshah.�Seizing the opportunity, Samay playfully added, “Aapne beta bana hi diya hai toh property mein thoda hissa? Sirf 20%!�His witty remark, accompanied by folded hands, had the entire audience roaring with laughter.
Continuing with his humor, Samay narrated an incident about attempting to enter Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic Juhu mansion, Jalsa, only to be chased away by security. “Mujhe hi nahi, mere dadi ko dhoondhke peeta sir.�His comedic timing and storytelling made this moment one of the highlights of the episode.
For the Rs 12,50,000 question, they used their Double Dip lifeline. The question was: The Hollywood movie Inside Man, starring Denzel Washington, opens with which iconic Hindi song? The options were: A. Mera Joota Hai Japani, B. Dum Maro Dum, C. Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, D. Chaiyya Chaiyya. Their first choice, option B, was incorrect, but they redeemed themselves by correctly selecting option D.
For the Rs 25 lakh question, they used their final lifeline, Audience Poll. The question was: Along with the seven islands of Mumbai, which Mediterranean port city was part of the dowry received by King Charles II? The options were: A. Algiers, B. Casablanca, C. Tangier, D. Barcelona. The audience poll results were closely split, making it difficult to decide. On Bhuvan Bam and Kamiya Jani’s suggestion, they chose to quit the game. Before leaving, they took a guess with option A, which turned out to be incorrect. The correct answer was option C.
Tanmay Bhat and Samay Raina concluded their journey on Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 with a winning amount of Rs 12,50,000, which they dedicated to charity. Their time on the show was filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and a display of knowledge, making it an episode to remember. Amitabh Bachchan thoroughly enjoyed their company, appreciating their humor and quick wit.
