Young television actress
Anushka Sharma, who rose to fame with her role as Juhi Pratap Singh in the popular TV show
Molkki, has decided to take a break from acting to focus on her academics. The 13-year-old actress has recently moved to
Bahrain, marking a temporary pause in her showbiz career to prioritise her studies and personal growth.
Speaking about her decision, Anushka shared, "I left Mumbai, currently I'm shifted to an Arab country, Bahrain. I'm taking a small break from acting for a few years because I'm focusing on my studies right now. But it’s nothing like I'm quitting acting."
Despite stepping away from Indian television for the time being, Anushka made it clear that her love for acting remains unchanged. "I'm passionate about acting and will always enjoy being in front of the camera. But at times, we need to take some difficult decisions in life for our future. I will continue to look for international shoots and movies here," she added.
Life in Bahrain seems to be treating the young actress well. She expressed her happiness about being in a new country and forming new bonds. "I'm enjoying here. I'm connecting with new people, making new friends. The people here are kind, humble and beautiful. I feel mesmerised when people connect to me and recognise me as an actor.
I feel honoured to see so much love," she said.
Recently turning 13, Anushka opened up about entering her teen years and feeling more responsible. "Now that I’ve entered my teen years, it feels like a new journey. I’ve always had a sense of freedom growing up, but now I understand my responsibilities too," she reflected.
On the work front, Anushka has also appeared in shows like
Naagin 6 and Professor Pandey Ke Paanch Parivaar.
