Saanand Verma: Age is just a number; an actor should always think beyond age
Saanand Verma, the ever-versatile actor, believes that an artist should never be bound by age. Having played varied roles, 40 year old to 28-year-old Sardar in Daranchhoo, Saanand has proven that adaptability is the key to a long-lasting career in the industry.
The Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain star, who has also featured in films like Chhichhore, Pataakha, Vijay 69, and will be seen in Aakhon Ki Gustakhiyan, shared his philosophy on why he never reveals his age. “An actor should be ageless. I want to mold myself into any role, any character. That’s why I never disclose my age—it should never define an artist’s capabilities.”
Beyond acting, Saanand is also an ardent music lover and an exceptional singer. Inspired by legends like Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi, he has honed his mimicry skills to the extent that people often mistake his voice for the original singers'. “I once sang Aaj Mausam Bada Beimaan Hai, and people were amazed at how close my voice was to Rafi Sahab’s.”
Now, he is working on launching his own original music. “2025 is my target year. I’m coming up with my own music video, and this time, it will be purely my voice, my style,” he revealed with excitement.
From being an actor to exploring his musical dreams, Saanand Verma continues to evolve, breaking barriers and proving that passion knows no limits. Saanand is a versatile Indian actor known for his impeccable comic timing and strong screen presence. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Anokhe Lal Saxena in the popular sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, where his quirky dialogue, “I like it,” became iconic. Apart from television, he has also worked in popular films. With his dedication and talent, Saanand continues to entertain audiences across different platforms.
