Ankush Chaudhari and Makarand Deshpande starrer 'Dagadi Chaal 2' set for its World Television Premiere

One of the most talked-about biography films, Dagadi Chaal 2, is all set for its world television premiere on October 30. The film is the sequel to the blockbuster which premiered in 2015. The action thriller showcases the ground realities of the lives of people living in Mumbai’s famous chawl 'Dagadi chawl'.
The film is produced by Sangeeta Ahir and directed by Chandrakant Kans.The film received rave reviews theatrically from audiences and critics after its release.
Talking about the storyline, the movie is inspired by Mumbai's real Dagadi Chawl which was known for gangster activities during the '80s and 90's era and was also the official residence of a gangster, political leader, and the controversial personality Arun Gawli popularly known as 'Daddy'.
The film narrates the crime stories of Mumbai’s hidden underbelly, the sequel takes one back to the infamous chawl. Veteran actors Makrand Deshpande and Ankush Chaudhari played the roles of Daddy and Surya respectively, who are in the process of revamping their lives after the chawl’s destruction. While daddy’s political ambitions drive him forward, Surya embarks on a romantic journey with Sonal (Pooja Sawant). Woven in a suspenseful narrative, the thriller explores themes of crime, violence, and power struggles within the community.
The film was released on August 19, 2022, in theaters and now it will air for the first time on television on October 30 at 1 pm.
