These are tough times we're facing. And everyone needs one another to take care of themselves for the sake of all even as COVID-19 cases see an alarming spike all across the country. Amid this, filmmaker Hansal Mehta also reached out to his followers in the hope that someone would help him. He is facing difficulties in getting through to a lab for his wife to get tested for coronavirus. On Twitter, Hansal made a frantic call of sorts. His appeal reads, 'Wife showing symptoms. Need to get her tested urgently. Unable to get through to any lab. Will appreciate leads.' Many people responded to this tweet and came up with suggestions for the filmmaker. Later, once he was able to get through a lab, he took to Twitter to thank everyone for the help and deleted the first tweet. Earlier, Hansal had tweeted that he had lost a cousin to COVID-19. He wrote, 'Lost a very close cousin in Ahmedabad to Covid-19. His wife is also critical. The situation in Gujarat is terrible. Much, much worse than is being reported.' Sometime back, Hansal had even taken to social media to applaud the doctors, nurses and on-ground staff that are working really hard to ensure the safety of the citizens calling them the 'Brave Hearts of the Country'. Irrespective of the precautions suggested by experts and undertaken by the government agencies namely, social distancing, lockdowns, curfews, quarantine facilities, increased availability of labs for testing and hospitals for treatment, along with taking vaccine jabs, the virus is continuing to spread in different parts of the country. The number of cases of people who are infected is increasing by leaps and bounds and the death toll is on the rise as well. For the unversed, many Bollywood celebrities have tested COVID-19 positive of late, including Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Ashutosh Rana, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Katrina Kaif, among others. While actors Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kartik Aaryan, Varun Dhawan, who had earlier tested positive have now fully recovered.
