Ajaz Khan, known for his stint on Bigg Boss 7 (2013) and his participation in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi season 5, is all set to make his debut as a host with House Arrest, a reality show similar to Bigg Boss.
He says, “I feel happy and deserving of hosting this show because I was one of the best contestants on Bigg Boss and also won the first reality show, Bollywood Club, many years ago. I’ve experienced life’s ups and downs, including time in jail. I am controversial, and this show will feature a lot of controversial people, all of whom have faced challenges in life. To handle such wild contestants, you need an even wilder host who can understand them without being judgmental. Although the concept of staying inside a house is similar, House Arrest is more than just another game show; it’s a psychological battle where every contestant’s move matters. The show will be packed with masala, romance, and drama.”
Ajaz believes his time on Bigg Boss will help him in this role. He shares, “I’ve learnt a lot from my time on Bigg Boss and from Salman Khan. He is my Dronacharya, and I am his Eklavya. I observed how he handled the show, and today, I’m hosting one myself. It’s a huge achievement, and I am filled with gratitude. I’ll do my best to make him and my fans proud.”
He adds, “I used catchphrases like ‘Ek number’ and ‘Badi badi baatein vada pav khaate’. I’ll come up with new ones for the new show. The goal is to entertain the audience with fresh catchphrases.”
Ajaz mentions that he will act as a mentor to the contestants. He says, “As a host, I won’t be biased or judgmental. I’ll be like a friend and father figure, guiding them and correcting them when they go wrong.”
