Actor Kim Soo Hyun, who has been for the past month or so completely embroiled in controversy due to the late Kim Sae Ron’s case, owns three units in a luxury apartment complex, whose price has skyrocketed through the roof.The luxury apartment complex located in Seoul’s Seongdong District is seeing a major rise in value recently. The apartment units, over the past 5 or so years, have increased in value by almost 5 billion KRW, according to a report from Allkpop.The news came forth due to the country’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and their system to keep such prices disclosed to the public.According to this, an apartment unit of approximately 195 square metres in the luxury apartment complex called Galleria Forêt was sold on May 3 for around 9 billion KRW, which amounts to at least 6.6 million USD in total.It was also revealed that when an apartment unit of the same size was sold off in November 2021, it was valued at 5.5 billion KRW. A year before that, the selling price of the same unit in that apartment complex was valued at around 3.7 billion KRW in March 2020.The actor is believed to own at least three different apartment units in the luxury apartment complex. One of the units, which is sized at 217 square metres, was bought by him in October 2013 for the approximate value of 4.02 billion KRW.The actor then purchased another unit in October 2014. The unit was sized at 170 square metres and was sold for 3.02 billion KRW. His latest purchase was made in January 2023, when the actor purchased a 217 square metre penthouse for around 8.8 billion KRW.The apartment complex was launched in 2008 and was officially opened for residency in 2011. The complex became extremely popular because of the asking price of 45.35 million KRW per 3.3 square metres. The apartment complexes are highly sought after, as they directly face the Seoul Forest and also offer the occupants of the house a clear view of the Han River as well.
