On May 26, the fantasy romance drama, headlined by the duo of Jang Ki Yong and Chun Woo Hee, reached a new pinnacle in its ratings journey. According to Nielsen Korea's latest data, the most recent episode of ‘The Atypical Family’ soared to an impressive nationwide average rating of 4.248 percent, setting a remarkable personal record for the series.

In 'The Atypical Family', a family grapples with the loss of their supernatural abilities amid contemporary challenges. Jang Ki Yong portrays Bok Gwi Joo, once endowed with time-traveling powers until a tragic accident plunged him into despair, stripping him of his gift. Chun Woo Hee takes on the role of Do Da Hae, a mysterious woman who enters Bok Gwi Joo's life.
This spike in viewership isn't isolated to ‘The Atypical Family’ alone. Other notable contenders also experienced noteworthy boosts in ratings. ‘The Midnight Romance in Hagwon’ saw a significant uptick, achieving an average nationwide rating of 4.9 percent for its latest installment. Similarly, ‘Missing Crown Prince’ witnessed a rise in viewership, ascending to a nationwide average rating of 3.7 percent.
However, it was ‘Beauty and Mr. Romantic’ that ultimately claimed the throne as the most-watched program of the night, maintaining its stronghold with an impressive nationwide average rating of 18.1 percent.
