• SC to examine Lokpal jurisdiction over HC judges
A Supreme Court bench will resume hearing a suo motu case concerning the Lokpal's authority to entertain complaints against High Court judges. The court previously stayed the Lokpal’s decision, citing concerns over judicial independence.
• Rahul Gandhi on two-day Gujarat visit
The Congress is launching a pilot project in Gujarat to strengthen its district units through a consultative leadership selection process. The 45-day programme will be carried out by observers across the state following an orientation in Ahmedabad.
• Court to rule on ED's objection involving Karnataka CM in MUDA case
The Special Court for MLAs and MPs to pronounce verdict on the ED’s objection to the closure report in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority case involving Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and his family. ED has alleged that key evidence related to land allotment and money laundering was ignored by the Karnataka Lokayukta.
