Mahindra and Mahindra have finally announced the prices of the Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4 variants. The 4x4 SUV is available only in diesel engine and is offered in three variants - MX5, AX5 L and AX7 L. Interested customers can book the Roxx online or by visiting their nearest dealership from October 3, 2024, and the deliveries are set to commence this Dusshera.

Talking about the pricing, the entry-level MX3 4x4 MT is priced at Rs 18.79 lakh, the mid-spec AX5 L 4x4 AT is priced at Rs 20.99 lakh and the top-of-the-line AX7 L 4x4 MT is priced at 20.99 lakh whereas the AT variant is priced at Re 22.49 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). The Roxx 4x4 variant commands about Rs 1.8 lakh to 2 lakh higher than the equivalent 4x2 variants. The prices of the Roxx 4x2 variants range from Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

When prices are compared to Scorpio-N 4x4 variants, the Scorpio-N 4x4 too is available only with a diesel engine option and is priced between Rs 18 lakh to 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom). The base spec Roxx 4x4 is Rs about 80,000 more expensive than the base spec Scorpio-N 4x4. However, the top-of-the-line Roxx AX7 L AT is about 2.05 lakh cheaper than the top-of-the-line Scorpio-N Z8 L 4x4.

Additionally, the 4x4 variants also get a "Smart Crawl" off-road cruise control system, operational between 2.5 kph and 30 kph, as well as the "Intelliturn" feature. The latter enables the Roxx to make very tight turns by locking the rear inner wheel according to the steering direction, functioning at speeds below 15 kph and usable for up to 15 seconds.

In terms of features, the Roxx gets a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch alloy wheels, leather-wrapped door trims, 6-way powered driver seat, front ventilated seats, cooled glove box, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, obstacle view, 9-speaker Harman/Kardon speakers with subwoofer, power foldable ORVM, 65 Watt USB C ports, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital cluster, Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto, wireless charger, an acoustic windshield, leather-wrapped steering wheel, auto headlights with wipers, footwell lighting, ambient lighting and much more.
In terms of safety, it gets auto-dimming iRVM, all four disc brakes, hill ascent and descent assist, traction control, six airbags, ESC, three-point seat belts for all passengers, Level 2 ADAS with 10 features, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, obstacle view and more.
