Jason Kelce, a ESPN analyst, has been a strong supporter of Kansas City tight end
Travis Kelce. Travis's slow start since 2013 has raised questions about his ability to perform. Travis had 15 receptions for 158 yards in the first four games of 2024, raising concerns about his off-season activities distracting from football. Travis attended
Taylor Swift's Eras Tour shows in Europe, performed in London, and gained his first television role with Ryan Murphy's Grotesquerie on FX.
He also hosted the game show Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity. However, his brother Jason stated football is his first love.

The analyst defended Travis'
NFL performance, stating that his slow start this season is not linked to his relationship with Taylor Swift. "Optics are that he is all over the place," Jason said before the Chiefs' October 7 game against the New Orleans Saints, explaining that though his Travis spent time with Taylor Swift during his break, "football has always been the most important thing in Trav's life.”
"I know it's been a slow start for him," Jason said. "Trav is always gonna find a way to show up and show out. It's only a matter of time before he gets back.” The former Philadelphia Eagles center expresses pride in Taylor's role as Travis' cheer captain, highlighting the Grammy winner's arrival at Arrowhead Stadium during his analysis.
Travis and his brother Jason, who inspired him to play football, have a strong bond and launched their podcast, New Heights, in September 2022, which has strengthened their relationship and their financial stability. "What this did was gave us a scheduled two to three hour window where we have to talk to each other and we have to talk about what we're going through, throughout the week and throughout the games," Travis told NBC Sports in February 2023. "It's almost been like therapy, man.”
Travis had a season-high seven receptions for 89 yards in a win over the Chargers in Week 4. He will build on this performance against the Saints in Week 5. The Chiefs are still winning games without Travis' production, with a perfect 4-0 start and an undefeated record heading into Week 6.
