Muslims in city protest Pahalgam terror attack
Patna: In a show of solidarity and outrage, Muslims in Patna gathered at the Jama Masjid on Friday to protest the recent Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 citizens. The protesters wore black ribbons and offered Friday prayers, expressing their condemnation of the attack and demanding action against those responsible.
"We are all deeply saddened by the Pahalgam attack, and we demand from the govt to take immediate action against the terrorists," said Waquar Ahmad, a protester.
The protesters also demanded that the Indian govt should take a strong stance against Pakistan, which they believe is supporting terrorism. "The govt should take action against Pakistan and eliminate terrorist hideouts," said another protester, Abdul Rahman.
"The attack was inhumane, and those responsible should be punished severely. Terrorism has no place in Islam, and those responsible for the attack are not representatives of the Muslim community," said Maulana Mujahid, a local Muslim neta.
The protesters raised slogans in support of PM Modi. "PM Modi, move forward, we are with you," they said in unison. "We stand with the govt in its fight against terrorism," said Shahnawaz Khan.
The protests were peaceful, with protesters chanting slogans and holding banners demanding action against Pakistan and terrorism. The protesters also submitted a memorandum to the district administration, demanding action against those responsible for the attack. "We want the govt to take concrete steps to eliminate terrorism and bring those responsible to justice. We are willing to work with the govt to combat terrorism and promote peace and harmony in the country," said another protester, Mohammad Imran.
