PUNE: SpiceJet on Friday announced the launch of its daily non-stop flights connecting Delhi and Kathmandu starting May 10.
This marks SpiceJet’s first new international destination since its successful Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), airline officials said.
Debojo Maharshi, chief business officer, SpiceJet, said, “We are thrilled to introduce daily non-stop flights between Delhi and Kathmandu, one of the most sought-after routes in the region. Think ancient temples, bustling bazaars, and the gateway to eight of the world’s tallest peaks, including Everest – all just a SpiceJet flight away! And for our friends in Nepal, Delhi becomes your springboard to the world, with seamless connections to Dubai, the Middle East, and beyond. This new route is a testament to our commitment to enhancing connectivity and providing travellers with more affordable and convenient flight options. As we continue expanding our fleet and network, passengers can look forward to more exciting destinations in the coming months.”
SpiceJet’s latest addition strengthens its international footprint, which already includes favourite destinations like Dubai and Bangkok. Since raising Rs. 3,000 crore through the QIP, the airline has rapidly expanded its domestic network, launching flights to new cities like Shivamogga, Tuticorin, Porbandar, and Dehradun, while reviving routes to previously served destinations such as Gorakhpur.
