After years of being one of the hardest hit combat sports, UFC President Dana White’s entering the boxing scene might revive the sport for good. Due to ill-favoured politics, the sport’s rapid decline became inevitable, however, the recent alliance of Turki Alalsheik and Dana White has given much needed hope to the boxing enthusiasts all around the globe. White recently revealed details regarding the future gameplan they plan to lay out for the launch of their new boxing promotion before it debuts.

UFC president White has stepped into the boxing world in partnership with Turki Alalsheikh and TKO Group Holdings in order to establish a new boxing league. With the aim to rebuild the sport by diminishing the biggest problems that led to the decline of the sport. While White is yet to decide on the complete gameplan for their new promotion to make its debut, big names like the World Boxing Council (WBC) have shown interest in backing the promotion.
In a recent appearance on the , White reflected on the inside details about their new boxing promotion and the current aspects of traditional television, which plays into the UFC’s ongoing talks for a new broadcast deal or deals at the end of this year. White proclaimed, “How many fights you’re gonna do a year? It’s gonna depend on, on who we do a deal with, what they’re looking for.” He continued, “You know, I say this all the time. If you call Kevin Kay, who used to be the head of SpikeTV, if you call Eric Shanks from FOX. If you call [former ESPN president] Jimmy Pitaro, ask any of these guys who’s the best sports partner they’ve ever been in business with. I’m a good f—king partner. You know what I mean?” White concluded by stating, “So we will go in, we will cut a deal with somebody, and we will basically build this thing around what they need for programming.”

Boxing star Ryan Garcia recently expressed his concerns regarding the UFC President’s endeavor to revive the sport. While many boxers are thrilled with the new gameplan about to come in the future, Garcia had a few things to address about the new promotion launch. Garcia pointed out that the pay structure to be as superior as the UFC stars to avoid internal chaos. White has been in the position to face backlash from top UFC star Francis Ngannou for biased terms and conditions, his previous record is what probably creates doubt inside of Garcia’s mind.
