The Los Angeles Rams have reunited Davante Adams and Jimmy Garoppolo with Adams signing a two-year, $46 million deal. The Los Angeles Rams just made a bold move that could shake up their offense, bringing Davante Adams and Jimmy Garoppolo back together. With Adams signing a two-year, $46 million deal, the duo has a shot at reigniting their chemistry. After a rocky stint in Las Vegas and separate struggles, both players now have a chance at redemption in LA’s high-powered attack.

Reunion that could reshape Rams' offense

Jimmy Garoppolo On Re-Signing In LA & Influence Of The Rams Front Office In His Decision To Stay

Speaking on the Rams' YouTube channel, Garoppolo expressed his excitement.
"Pumped, man," Garoppolo said. "Haven't seen him in a while. Talented receiver. It’ll be fun seeing him again, just getting back on the same page. I’ve seen what he can do before."
Their stint together in Las Vegas was short-lived. In 2023, Garoppolo started as the Raiders' QB under coach Josh McDaniels but struggled with turnovers. By midseason, he was benched for rookie Aidan O’Connell. Meanwhile, Adams, who joined the Raiders to reunite with Derek Carr, found himself in an evolving offensive system. The turbulence led to McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler getting fired, setting off a domino effect.
In Netflix’s Receiver series, Adams later admitted he approved Garoppolo’s benching.
"Well my opinion on that, was I signed off on that," Adams said. "And that's just the reality of it. You know, I love Jimmy and he's a great guy, but something had to happen in order for us to have a chance down the stretch and in order for me to remain a Raider, in all honesty," Adams revealed. Despite trade rumors, Adams stayed with the Raiders until the following season, when he was dealt to the New York Jets. There, he reunited with Aaron Rodgers, but their season unraveled, leading to a major overhaul. Rodgers and Adams were both released, paving the way for Adams to land in LA.

Can they rekindle their chemistry?

Now, Garoppolo is entering his second year backing up Matthew Stafford, while Adams joins a Rams offense eager to return to championship form. Both players have endured ups and downs, but this fresh start could be their shot at redemption.
With Garoppolo and Adams back together, the Rams’ offense gets a major boost. If they can find their rhythm, LA could be a serious contender once again.
