Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4: Variant wise features with price explained

Homegrown Automaker Mahindra and Mahindra recently announced the prices for the Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4. The 4x4 SUV is available only in diesel engine and is offered in three variants - MX5, AX5 L and AX7 L. Interested customers can book the Roxx online or by visiting their nearest dealership from October 3, 2024, and the deliveries are set to commence this Dusshera.

The entry-level MX3 4x4 MT is available for Rs 18.79 lakh, while the mid-spec AX5 L 4x4 AT is priced at Rs 20.99 lakh. The top-tier AX7 L 4x4 MT is also priced at Rs 20.99 lakh, with the AT variant at Rs 22.49 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The Roxx 4x4 variants are priced approximately Rs 1.8 lakh to 2 lakh higher than their 4x2 counterparts, which range from Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom). MX3
The MX3 is the entry-level variant of the Thar Roxx 4x4 and gets features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 4 speakers, wired Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, cruise control, semi-digital cluster, 18-inch steel wheels, LED projector headlights with LED taillights, push-button start, six airbags, ESC, three-point seat belts for all passengers, rear AC vents, driver's seat height adjustment, 60:40 split-folding rear bench seats, steering mounted controls, auto-dimming iRVM, wireless charger, reverse camera, rear armrest with cup holders, hill ascent and descent assist, traction control, wireless charger, drive and terrain modes.

AX5 L
The AX5 L is the mid-spec variant of the Thar Roxx 4x4 and gets features such as a single pane sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, 2-tweeters, an acoustic windshield, leather-wrapped steering wheel, Electronic locking diff (4x4), TPMS, auto headlights with wipers, footwell lighting and ambient lighting.

AX7 L
Next comes in top-of-the-line AX7 L, it gets a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch alloy wheels, leather-wrapped door trims, 6-way powered driver seat, front ventilated seats, cooled glove box, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, obstacle view, 9-speaker Harman/Kardon speakers with subwoofer, power foldable ORVM and 65 Watt USB C ports.
The Thar Roxx 4x4 will be powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, MHawk turbo diesel engine which puts it 175hp of power and 370Nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter. The SUV also gets Mahindra's 4XPLOR 4x4 system with an electronic locking differential and terrain modes such as Snow, Sand and Mud.
