BANGALORE: Still fresh in the minds of every Bangalorean, the incident of a baby being sold in a private nursing home, an unidentified women on Wednesday walked away with an eight-month-old baby boy from a BCC run maternity home in Magadi road police limits.

BANGALORE: Still fresh in the minds of every Bangalorean, the incident of a baby being sold in a private nursing home, an unidentified women on Wednesday walked away with an eight-month-old baby boy from a BCC run maternity home in Magadi road police limits.
The boy, son of Anjanappa, a resident of Nandini Layout was abducted while his wife Ramanujamma was admitted to the maternity home for tubectomy.

The mother was in the ward and was being attended by one of her relatives, when an unidentified woman walked in and took the baby in her hands on the pretext of consoling the child. She then walked away with the child saying that she would take the child to a shop nearby to buy some sweets. Neither the woman nor the child returned.
Anjanappa is a wage worker with the BCC, from Pavagada and has a son and two daughters. A case of kidnapping has been registered. Magadi Road police are investigating.
