Kejriwal, BJP hit out at each other

New Delhi: BJP and AAP attacked each other on Monday for doing politics in the name of Bharat Ratna BR Ambedkar.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said, "If we were to find one govt in Delhi over the past 78 years most guilty of betraying Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar's dreams, it would be Arvind Kejriwal govt."
Sachdeva alleged, "Kejriwal put up Babasaheb's pictures in secretariat rooms, but showed no interest in implementing the three educational schemes established in his name for Dalits, nor in uplifting their settlements." Kejriwal should answer why, out of the allocated Rs 891 crore for the educational upliftment of the marginalised, less than 5%, only Rs 40.80 crore, was actually spent, he demanded.
AAP national convener Kejriwal said, "Babasaheb Ambedkar is AAP's guiding light… following his path, we're working to ensure that every citizen receives education, dignity and essential services." He alleged, "India's two main parties have no genuine love for Babasaheb; out of political compulsion, they put up a facade of respect. They have deliberately kept the country poor and uneducated to create and preserve their vote banks." TNN
