Canacona bus stand bomb threat a hoax

Canacona: The RTO’s Canacona office received an anonymous email on Monday claiming that an explosive device was placed at the Canacona bus stand. After a thorough search, the threat turned out to be a hoax.
“The source of the email is being investigated,” SP South Tikam Singh Verma said.
The bomb threat was received via email at 10.30am on Monday, warning of an impending explosion at the Canacona bus stand. The threat prompted immediate action from local authorities, with a search operation by the local police and bomb squad that concluded at 2.30pm.
Police cordoned off the area until the search was completed.
