Jaipur prepares for power talks and palace tours with US vice president JD Vance

JAIPUR: United States Vice-President JD Vance will be in Jaipur for a four-day visit from April 21 to April 24, along with his family. He is travelling with his wife Usha, who is of Indian origin, and their three children — Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel.
During his stay, the Vice-President's itinerary includes several official engagements, tours of notable tourist attractions, and will be protected by comprehensive security measures coordinated between Indian and US security personnel.
Itinerary Highlights
April 21: Arrival in Jaipur
The VP and his family is expected to leave Delhi for Jaipur after their official dinner with the PM Narendra Modi on Monday.
April 22:
9:00am – Visit to Amber Fort; expected meeting with Rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
3:00pm – Public engagement at Rajasthan International Centre to discuss trade and technology with state industry leaders.
April 23:
Visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra in the first half.
Return to Jaipur and visit to City Palace in the afternoon.
April 24:
Departure from Jaipur back to the United States.

An extensive security plan has been devised involving multiple agencies:
Several IPS officers, including those from Jaipur police commissionerate, have been assigned special duties.
Mock drills conducted along key routes from Jaipur International Airport to Rambagh Palace Hotel and Amber Fort.
Reconnaissance operations carried out at prominent tourist locations like Hawa Mahal.
Deployment of over 20 DCPs, 40 ACPs, and numerous ASIs, SIs, and CIs at strategic locations.
Heavy presence of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC), Emergency Response Teams (ERTs), and Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) to ensure safe and smooth movement.
Authorities have assured that all necessary steps are being taken to provide foolproof security throughout the high-profile visit.
