Lifeguards avert robbery at Colva beach

Panaji/Calangute:Drishti Marine lifesavers thwarted a robbery attempt targeting a British tourist at Colva beach. Lifesaver Sahil Tikkam noticed a suspicious man at Colva beach who subsequently attempted to rob the British woman while she was swimming. Tikkam apprehended the suspect and handed him over to Goa Police.
Meanwhile, stray dogs continue to attack tourists, particularly foreigners in South Goa. An 80-year-old man from the UK, staying in Benaulim, was bitten by a stray dog while strolling on the beach and lifesavers assisted him to safety.
At Arambol, a 46-year-old woman from Mumbai suffered an epileptic seizure on the beach. Lifesavers administered oxygen to the woman and called for an ambulance.
