Mass prayers mark Eid celebrations in Belagavi

BELAGAVI: Muslim community across Belagavi district celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday, with thousands attending the mass namaz in the morning. The Muslim community offered mass prayers at various mosques and Idgahs on the outskirts of Belagavi.
The Muslim community ended their holy month of fasting with a mass prayers at the Anjuman Islam Idgah Maidan. Naeem Khatib delivered the Khutbah prayer, while Hafiz Abdul Razzaq led the prayer.
On this occasion, religious leaders Maulana Mufti Abdul Aziz, Manzoor Nomani, and Mufi Zuhar participated and prayed to Allah for happiness, peace, and prosperity in the world.
People of the community arrived dressed in new clothes at the Idgah Maidan with their children, exchanged greetings and offered mass namaz. They also exchanged greetings with other communities, including Hindus, on the occasion.
MLA Asif Raju Sait, former MLA Feroz Sait, DCP Rohan Jagadish, and dignitaries exchanged festive greetings at the Belagavi DC office premises.
