Hassan MP Shreyas upset over officials’ ‘inefficiency’

Hassan: MP Shreyas Patel on Friday expressed his displeasure with officials for not working efficiently, which, he said, affected the development of Malnad region.
The MP addressed the officials during a progress review meeting regarding various development projects undertaken with the funds under the 15th Finance Commission. The MP said the Hassan City Council, which was upgraded to a municipality, is facing a crisis.
Shreyas was upset with the performance of some officials, including health inspectors and RIs, urging them to work respectfully to avoid complaints. He warned the officials of transfer if they do not deliver. He advised public representatives to work for the people.
Eleven overhead water tanks in Hassan are not maintained properly, he stated, asking the officials concerned to take up cleaning immediately. Commissioner Ramesh promised to resolve the issues within a week. He emphasised prioritising cleanliness in the city.
