CM Sai, Guv Deka & other cabinet mins take holy dip at Maha Kumbh

Raipur: Chhattisgarh chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai with his cabinet colleagues and Governor Ramen Deka took a holy dip in Prayagraj on Thursday at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela 2025.
"Our council of ministers, Legislative assembly speaker Raman Singh, governor Deka, MPs, and MLAs are visiting Prayagraj. I thank UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath and the UP legislative assembly Speaker for extending the invitation to attend the Maha Kumbh," Chief minister Sai told reporters, before flying to Prayagraj.
CM Sai's wife, Kaushalya who was accompanying him to the holy place said, "We are going to the Maha Kumbh to seek blessings of Maa Ganga to gain more energy to serve the state. I will pray for the state of Chhattisgarh."
According to official records, till Feb 11, over 462.5 million devotees have taken holy dip since the festival's commencement on Jan 13. Authorities anticipate increased participation during upcoming auspicious bathing dates.
From Prayagraj Airport to Arel ghat of Sangam, the ministers were taken in five electric buses.
Chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai described the Maha Kumbh as a grand festival of Sanatan Dharma, embodying its divinity and spiritual energy. He stated that this Maha Kumbh, being held after 144 years, is not just a religious ritual but also a unique opportunity to learn, understand, and embrace India's eternal democratic traditions.
Speaking on the occasion, Sai said that the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati is not merely the merging of waters but a grand union of spirituality, tradition, and culture. He described the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh as a center of spiritual consciousness, not just for India but for all of humanity. He highlighted that this event strengthens our spiritual roots and presents the divine essence of Sanatan culture to the world.
