Pahalgam terror attack: 48 tourist sites shut in Kashmir amid security concerns

SRINAGAR: Following the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir government has shut down 48 tourist destinations across the Kashmir Valley for security reasons, sources said. However, there has been no official confirmation from the tourism department.
Sources said that the destinations include some famous nature retreats, resorts in Srinagar also.
The authorities have beefed up security all across Kashmir and deployment has been increased in tourist places like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and the Dal Lake areas.
Earlier J&K forests department closed all its trekking destinations for tourists.
The sources said out of 87 tourist spots, 48 have been closed to tourists.
The famous spots include Yusmarg, Tosamaidan, Kousarnag, Aharbal, Dodpathri, Bangu Valley, Verinag garden, Sinthantop, Margantop. Babareshi in Tangmarh, Shrunz waterfall, badamwari, naranag, Sun Temple Kheribal
