MSU partners with IIT Bombay for PAIR programme
Vadodara: M S University became a partner with IIT Bombay in a recently awarded Partnership for Accelerated Innovation and Research (PAIR) programme by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
IIT Bombay is one of the hubs for the PAIR programme aimed at enhancing research culture and output in terms of quality and applications for national and local causes. MSU is one of the spokes selected by IIT Bombay based on the credentials of the university, researchers involved in the programme, proposal, and themes.
Only seven out of thirty hubs, which are India's top institutions/universities, were selected for the ANRF-PAIR grants. "MSU will be mentored by IIT Bombay in the area of energy materials, sustainable building, green hydrogen and storage energy, and photovoltaics," MSU's in-charge vice-chancellor professor Dhanesh Patel told TOI.
The proposal presented by Patel along with professor P K Jha was selected after a detailed and intensive interpersonal presentation with a distinguished panel of experts at the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru. ANRF's PAIR initiative aims to foster long-term collaboration, promote capacity building among partner institutes, as well as cutting-edge research in new and critical areas.
"We expect that this project will boost our research infrastructure and quality of the research output," said Patel.
