UP min reviews central schemes, stresses faster implementation
Gorakhpur: Chairing a meeting of district development coordination and monitoring committee (DISHA), Union minister of state for Rural Development and Bansgaon MP Kamlesh Paswan on Monday reviewed development works and central welfare schemes in the district.
The meeting had detailed discussions on road, water, housing, and electricity issues raised by public representatives. Minister Paswan emphasized that elected public representatives and administrative departments must work in synergy to ensure inclusive growth and welfare. He urged departments concerned to keep the public representatives informed about all developmental projects and ensure timely execution. Key schemes under departments such as Rural Development, Agriculture, Health, Education, Transport, and Women and Child Development were reviewed. The minister directed officials concerned to expedite implementation of the schemes and public outreach. Issues like broken roads, closed community toilets, and delayed pension verifications were addressed at the meeting. Suggestions for bypasses, service lanes, and infrastructure improvements were also taken up.
Special focus was laid on PM Awas Yojana, Skill Development, Drone Didi, and Jal Jeevan Mission. Besides, concerns regarding electricity infrastructure and the need for mini-stadiums in every block were raised. Officials were directed to take swift action on pending matters. Mayor Mangalesh Srivastava and DM Krishna Karunesh were present, among others.
