Guhla, one of Haryana's 90 legislative assembly constituencies, plays a vital role in the state's political landscape. Located in Kaithal district, this constituency is reserved for candidates from the Scheduled Castes.

In the 2019 elections, Ishwar Singh of the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) won the seat by securing 36,518 votes, or 27.82% of the total votes. He defeated Chaudhary Dilu Ram of the Indian National Congress (INC), who garnered 31,944 votes, with a margin of 4,574 votes. This victory marked a shift from the 2014 elections, where BJP's Kulwant Ram Bazigar won the seat with 36,598 votes, defeating INC's Dillu Ram, who polled 34,158 votes.
