Suman Ghosh whose debut Hindi directorial ‘
Adhaar’ will have its world premiere at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival has already planned his next which is also a Hindi film. Titled ‘Juliet’, this film will be a love story.
The screenplay has been written by Meghna Gulzar’s former assistant director Kanishka Singh Deo. However, there hasn’t been any final decision on the casting.
‘Juliet will be bankrolled by the same production house Drishyam Films which have produced ‘Adhaar’. He has one Bengali film in the pipeline as well.
Coming back to ‘Adhaar’, it stars ‘Mukkabaaz’ fame
Vineet Kumar Singh in the lead. During a recent chat, Suman Ghosh revealed what triggered the story idea of his first Bollywood film ‘Adhaar’, “I came across the story in an article on Aadhaar card from The New Yorker and seed of my story was founded back then, in 2011. I penned the story after the synopsis was selected in Busan International Forum in 2016. Aadhaar is basically a social satire. It captures modern India and a unique story of a common man.”
