Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra has officially started work on the highly anticipated second season of her spy thriller series, 'Citadel'.
Chopra, who has been running on a tight schedule, announced on Monday morning that she has commenced work on the web series by posting a short clip on her Instagram stories. The actress shared a clip from her car, en route to her shooting destination at 5.39 am.
"Hello Citadel S2' she captioned the post and added a '#MondayMotivation' gif with it.

Priyanka's announcement comes just a day after co-star Stanley Tucci was spotted at the Wrest Park, England, shooting action scenes at the 18th-century mansion. The actor was seen in his stealth gear, with a rifle, shooting an intense scene indoors. It is however, unclear if PeeCee will be joining him at the location.

Priyanka plays the lead character Nadia Sinh, opposite Richard Madden in the series that debuted last year. Following the success of season 1, the makers immediately announced that the show was renued for season 2.
Directed by the Russo Brothers, the new season is expected to feature even more intense action sequences and twists, as the story delves deeper into the world of espionage and conspiracy.
According to reports, the Russo Brothers reportedly kickstarted work on the project to wrap it up in time to commence shooting their big-budget Marvel films 'Avengers: Doomsday' and 'Avengers: Secret Wars' that have booked 2026 and 2027 release dates. The director duo, who was rumoured to be taking over the reins to direct this season, may likely hand over the baton as they have a lot riding on their next two multi-million dollar films.

Priyanka will be getting into super spy mode after wrapping up work on 'Heads of State' and her adventure film 'The Bluff'. She was most recently spotted enjoying some down time together with husband Nick Jonas while holidaying in France.
While no official release date has been announced, Priyanka’s return to set signals that 'Citadel' Season 2 is well underway. Meanwhile, fans can anticipate the next chapters of this global spy series with the release of the upcoming 'Citadel Diana' scheduled to hit screens next month and an Indian version of the show titled 'Citadel: Honey Bunny', starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha in the lead.
