The science fiction film 'Mickey 17,' directed by acclaimed filmmaker
Bong Joon Ho, will soon be available for viewers to enjoy at home.
According to an announcement by Warner Bros., the movie is set to be released digitally on April 8, 2025, while physical copies, including 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats, will arrive later on May 13, 2025. A special limited-edition Steelbook version is also planned but will be released on a different date.
The movie is based on the novel 'Mickey7' by Edward Ashton and tells the story of Mickey, a man who joins a space mission as an “Expendable.�?His job is to take on dangerous tasks and die repeatedly, only to be cloned again and again. However, when the 17th version of Mickey somehow survives, things take a dramatic turn, creating chaos and conflict within the colony on a planet called Niflheim.
Robert Pattinson plays the lead role of Mickey. Naomi Ackie appears as Nasha, Mickey’s romantic partner. Mark Ruffalo takes on the role of the expedition leader. Other key cast members include Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Anamaria Vartolomei.
