As Sikandar gears up for its Eid release, it will share the box office spotlight with the Malayalam action thriller L2: Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. L2: Empuraan, which stars Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, is scheduled to hit theatres on March 27, just days before Sikandar's release.
Addressing concerns about a potential box office clash, Prithviraj recently clarified during a press conference that there is "no competition" between the two films. "Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in the country, and there is no competition between the two movies. I hope it becomes a blockbuster," he said. He further added, "I will have no complaints if you watch L2: Empuraan at 11 a.m. and Sikandar at 1 p.m."
All eyes are now on the film's opening weekend numbers to see if it can replicate or surpass the success of Khan's previous Eid releases.
