Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava needs less than Rs 13 crore to beat Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 and become the 7th biggest hit of Indian Cinema

Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava has seen a strong box office run so far, currently it is the 8th biggest hit of Indian Cinema. But to jump one position it has a significant hurdle to cross. With a current India net collection of Rs 585.1 crore, Chhaava needs to surpass Stree 2, which has earned Rs597.99 crore net in India. This means the film must collect an additional Rs 12.89 crore domestically to overtake Stree 2 and move up the rankings.

Major Challenges Ahead
Despite its strong performance so far, Chhaava is now entering a critical phase with intense competition from multiple big releases.
March 27: L2E: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj, is set to dominate the South Indian market, particularly in Kerala, where it enjoys massive pre-release buzz. This could impact Chhaava’s collections in southern states.
March 28: MadSquare, is a coming-of-age comedy-drama film written and directed by Kalyan Shankar, it serves as a sequel to the 2023 hit Mad. The film features an ensemble cast including Narne Nithin, Sangeeth Sobhan, Ram Nitin, and Priyanka Jawalkar and has been trending well with its advance ticket sales.
March 30: Salman Khan’s Sikandar is the biggest threat, as it will command major attention in mass circuits, particularly in North India, where Chhaava has been performing well.
Will Chhaava Reach the Rs 597.99 Crore Mark?
For Chhaava to achieve this milestone, it needs consistent weekday collections and strong weekend trends despite heavy competition. The film has already shown resilience at the box office, but with multiple major releases coming in, its ability to sustain business will be tested.
With 12.89 crore still required to surpass Stree 2’s India net collections, the next few days will be crucial in determining Chhaava’s final ranking among the biggest Indian films. Will it overcome the competition and secure its place, or will it fall short? The box office battle is heating up!
